Afina is a privately owned corporation, created in October of 1990. When Afina began operations, focused as an independent value-added distribution company for Open Systems and provide a range of technical services: Technical support: Through service contracts supporting all products distributed by AFINA Training: Courses given on our premises or at those of our clients Professional Services: On site for installation, configuration, data recoverage... and advising for large projects In 96, however, AFINA´s commercial strategy shifted, moving from Open Systems to the Internet/Intranet. Presently, AFINA has offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, París, México, Miami, Caracas, Bogotá, Santiago de Chile, San José de Costa Rica and Buenos Aires. Currently AFINA has a team of 193 persons working. (123 in Europe and 70 in Latin America). The areas in which AFINA develops its activity are: Security: Check Point, ISS, RSA Security, Nokia, Trend Micro, StoneGate, Aladdin, Websense, Marshal, Secuware, Novell, Banckup, Crossbeam, Fortinet and Enterasys. Infrastructure: Aruba, Real Networks, WebTrends, VCON, Novell SUSE, Esker, F5 Networks, Nokia, Axis, Enterasys, Funkwerk, Blue Coat, Packeteer. Information systems : Novell, MySQL, WebTrends and Oracle Mobility: Antha VPN, Mobile Safe, Nokia Connecting People, Swivel. Two years ago we planed to deliver OpenSource Services, preparing our own training material (Apache, Tomcat, PHP) and partnering with MySQL to deliver Authorized MySQL curriculum. During its 15 years in business, the company has experienced strong growth and has positioned itself as the market leader in its sector. Sales with a performance growth rate of 47% for the last two years.
