ANTs Compatibility Server ANTs Compatibility Server By ANTs Software

When doing database migrations, the ANTs Compatibility Server (ACS), avoids the application migration process by eliminating the need to rewrite legacy applications. Instead, legacy applications can continue to operate exactly as they did before, without being rewritten, by connecting natively to a middleware component instead of the legacy database. The ANTs Compatibility Server (ACS) is a database simulation layer, which runs all the legacy stored procedures, functions and other business logic natively, without change, and connects to the new target database (MySQL). The legacy application and the new MySQL database pass data and other communications in both directions through the middleware layer as though they were connected natively to each other.
The ANTs Compatibility Server provides a simulation layer between databases and the applications. The current ACS framework consists of three major components: the client side, the server side, and the translation layer. The ACS framework allows for any client application to be re-hosted to the MySQL database. This allows ACS to operate in a Hub and Spoke configuration and has given ANTs at least a 3 years advantage against any competitors that may try to enter the market.
