MySQL Enterprise Connection Alliance Program (MECA)

The MECA Program was created to support businesses that sell, service, and support and/or build solutions on MySQL Enterprise, or provide solutions based on MySQL database technologies. Its members include:

• Consulting Services Providers/System Integrators - Consulting Services Providers/System Integrators are member organizations that deliver best-of-breed and authorized MySQL services to customers around the world.
• Technology Providers: Software as a Service (SaaS), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs) - Technology Providers are member organizations that develop and certify their applications to work with MySQL Enterprise.
• Training Providers - Training Partners are member organizations that engage in the resale and/or delivery of MySQL training products, including public & private classes, training credits, and certification vouchers.
• Storage Engine Providers - Storage Engine Partners are member organizations that are developing and certifying purpose-built storage engines to work with MySQL's Pluggable Storage Engine Architecture.
• Resellers - Resellers are member organizations appointed by MySQL market and sell MySQL Enterprise and MySQL Enterprise Unlimited subscriptions, MySQL Cluster, MySQL Professional Services, and/or MySQL Training, sourcing their resale from a MySQL distributor.
• OEM Customers - OEM Customers are member organizations that embed the MySQL database.
• Authorized Hosting Providers - Hosting partners make the MySQL Enterprise Server available to their end users, and provide MySQL-backed support and services.

MECA Program Modules

We recognize that no two companies are alike. The MECA Program delivers modularized tools and resources to help your business succeed, regardless of its size and focus - this means you need only choose those modules that align with your current business strategy. Today, members of the MECA Program can elect to subscribe to:

• MySQL Enterprise Connector Module - The MySQL Enterprise Connector Module provides every qualified Technology Partner and Consulting Services Provider the ability to distribute commercially-licensed MySQL connectors at no charge, under the following conditions:
  • Qualified Technology Partners and Consulting Services Providers must rigorously comply with the MECA Program Agreement
  • The licensed MySQL Enterprise Connectors will not be used to link, bundle, embed, or promote any MySQL GPL software other than MySQL Enterprise

• MySQL Enterprise Customer Referral Module - MySQL recognizes that you play an integral role in driving adoption of MySQL Enterprise, and rewards you for your contributions to its continued success. Today, MySQL has two customer referral programs, MySQL Affiliate Program and MySQL Lead Referral Program.
• MySQL Reseller Module - The MySQL Reseller Module allows partners to market and sell MySQL Enterprise subscriptions, MySQL Cluster, MySQL Professional Services, and/or MySQL Training.

There are three subscription levels in the MECA Program:

• MySQL Enterprise Ready Partner - the entry level subscription (No Charge)
• MySQL Enterprise Gold Partner - the highest subscription level (USD $2,999)
• MySQL Enterprise Platinum Partner - the highest subscription level (custom). Platinum partnerships are for companies making major financial and strategic commitment to MySQL, and by invitation only. If you wish to apply for this level, please contact the alliances team at partner@mysql.com.
